It’s so easy to end up doing things that others want rather than what you want. You may ruffle a few feathers at first but you will soon start to feel more in control.

Language can be destructive or empowering, words like can’t, should, hope, take away our power and responsibility. Use words like can, could and know – take control of your future.
Be choosy about the company you keep
It’s said that we are the average of the five people we spend the most time with so choose your friends carefully. Avoid the moaners and groaners and spend time with positive people who make you feel good.
Use positive affirmations
Repeating a positive affirmation on a regular basis changes our mind-set and impacts on the subconscious mind to kick start it into positive action
End your day with thanks
Your brain is ‘programmable’ just before you fall asleep so spend a few minutes thinking about all the great things that happened that day. They don’t need to be huge events – a compliment on your hair or a friend buying you a coffee. Positive thoughts lead to a great night’s sleep.
Make time for you
We are all busy and it is easy to forget and miss the things that you enjoy doing. Start planning your time to involve things that are fun.
Expect to be happy
Why settle for less when you deserve the best? Start expecting to be happy and ignore any conflicting evidence and focus on joy. Aim to become the happiest person you know and you soon will be.
