Right its Monday morning, hand up who has started a new crazy-this-time-I’ll-do-it-I-am-totally-on-it-diet?!
I’ve been there done that so many times!
You get to a point where you are so fed up and feel so rubbish that you have to make changes and you have to do it now.
So before we know it we have gone from eating a poor diet with a bit of alcohol at weekends to suddenly munching on kale while planning on going to the gym 7 days a week.
Then when we don’t achieve that crazy new diet we feel guilty for once again ‘failing’
It took me quite a while to figure out that we don’t need the extremes. It doenst have to be all or nothing.
The thing is if your diet has been pretty rubbish then just making one change will help to start making improvements in how you feel.
If you never exercise then popping out for a 20 minute walk a few times a week will help to start making improvements in how you feel.
If we force ourselves to do some super-strict plan then we are just putting way too much pressure on ourselves and it aint gonna last.
What is ONE thing you could do this week to improve your eating habits?
- Drink more water
- Add in extra veg to your evening meal
- Make sure you have breakfast
- Stop the mid morning chocolate snack
Small things done consistently can help make massive long term changes.
Lets stop setting crazy goals that make us miserable. Small enjoyable changes = long term success.
